SHL is looking for an Application Support Engineer to join our Application Management Services (AMS) Team. This person will help clients by fixing technical problems, making sure our applications run smoothly, and improving system performance. Key Responsibilities
As an Application Support Engineer, you will:
- Provide technical help – Assist clients when they have technical issues. Answer their questions and help them use our applications correctly.
- Fix problems quickly – When an application stops working or has an issue, you will find the cause and fix it.
- Work with different teams – Sometimes, solving a problem requires working with other departments. You will talk to developers, IT teams, and managers to find the best solutions.
- Monitor applications – Keep an eye on application performance and fix any small problems before they become big ones.
- Document issues and solutions – Keep clear records of problems and how they were solved. This helps other team members in the future.
- Improve application performance – Suggest and implement improvements to make our applications run better.
- Assist with deployment – Help install, update, or configure applications when needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Education – A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a similar subject.
- Experience – One to three years spent in application support or a related technical role.
- Technical knowledge – Know how software programs, databases along with computer systems work.
- Problem-solving skills – Can think clearly and fix technical issues fast.
- Communication skills – Can talk about technical matters in plain words for clients and team members.
- Attention to detail – Checks issues carefully to choose the best solution.
- Teamwork skills – Works well with various groups and departments.
- Adaptability – Faces different technical challenges and learns new skills fast.
Preferred Skills
These skills will be helpful but are not required:
- Worked with tools that monitor applications.
- Used ticket systems to track problems.
- Knew simple codes or scripts.
- Understood basic cloud computing plus networking.
- Could make and update technical documentation.
